Anti Encroachment Drives Intensified in Kulgam.

Despite snow accumulation, 102 Kanals of State Land Retrieved

Kulgam, CNS, 19-Jan; After the Order from Government regarding retrieval of all State Land till 31st January 2023, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat (IAS), has given strict directions to all Tehsildars for intensifying the anti Encroachment Drives in the District for retrieval of all Encroached State and Kahcharie Land.

Acting on the Directions, The Team Lead by Tehsildar Kulgam, Bilal Ahmad JKAS, along with Naib Tehsildar Kulgam, Patwaries and other revenue functionaries today carried anti Encroachment drive at Village Kulgam, wherein 102 Kanals of Land under Survey No 1497/1, were retrieved from Encroachers.

Furthermore, While talking to the media, Tehsildar kulgam warned the encroachers to vacate the encroached State Land/Kahcharie Land/Shamilat Section 4, within one week or else they have to bear the consequences under Law. He further added that the drives would be intensified and village wise Land Banks would be created.

Yaripora Magistrate Mohammad Iqbal JKAS will also issue a notice that legal action will be taken against anyone who encroached on the government land within one week, not the violators. Will be forgiven۔

It has already been ordered by the government to vacate all the squatters who are occupying the government land as soon as possible because the government has directed all the district administrations to evict the people occupying the government land within three months. They are asked to leave it and complete big peaches it by January 31 after the new order comes out. In this regard, a notice was issued by the Kulgam administration to those people who illegally occupied the government land.(CNS)

Retrieves 253 Kanals of State/ Kahcharie Land in 2 days

KULGAM, JANUARY 19: Acting tough against encroachments, the District Administration Kulgam has launched intensive anti-encroachment drives to retrieve all State/Kahcharie land across the district.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat has passed strict directions to all Tehsildars for intensifying the anti-encroachment drives in the district for retrieval of all encroached State and Kahcharie Land.

Following these directions, teams from revenue department in all tehsils have launched massive and intensified anti encroachment drives across all tehsils and in last two days administration has retrieved more than 253 Kanals of encroached State and Kahcharie land.

Besides, village wide notices were also served by Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars across the district to encroachers and they were warned to vacate the encroached State Land/Kahcharie Land/Shamilat Section 4, within one week or else they have to bear the consequences under Law.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue informed that so-far atleast 40 percent of encroached land has already been retrieved in the district.

He said the process is being monitored by DC and other senior Officers of the district.
